She aspires to respect the traditional methods of the jewellery craft while not being confined or restricted by accepted techniques; embracing state-of-the-art technology while remaining true to the principles of good design to produce wearable high quality jewellery that stands the test of time.

Now established in her studio in Hereford,

Jo is currently designing further classic pieces in a variety of precious metals and gemstones of the highest quality to supplement her innovative first collection.

Commissions are welcomed and Jo will happily work with you to create that special one-off piece.

Over the past ten years Jo has honed her skills as a designer-maker, working for various jewellery companies and designers in London. It was a year out in Paris that gave rise to the beginnings of 'Jo Bell Jewellery'. This was where she designed her first collection, 'Deco Bows', drawing inspiration from the prevalent Deco style found in that city.

Jo's design ethos follows the ideas - and spirit - of this movement, where simplicity and purity triumph over elaboration and ornament. Her ideas derive from a love of experimenting with form and function. A fascination with the geometry of shape, size and angle culminates in simple and elegant designs.
